New York Proposes Insurance Discount Incentive for Dash Cams

This just in! New York lawmakers are proposing a new bill that would decrease insurance costs for drivers who have a functioning dash camera installed in their vehicles.

The lawmakers behind the bill, State Senator Jose Peralta and Assembly member Alicia Hyndman are proposing a 5 percent discount for cars with the dash cams installed. 

It is finally being understood by the general public the importance of dash cameras when it comes to helping provide critical evidence about a crime or car accident, as well as its role in stopping insurance fraud. 

Hopefully dash cameras will become standard in the future!
