This DR590X-2CH replaced my original DR590W-2CH in my Volvo
This DR590X-2CH replaced my original DR590W-2CH in my Volvo. The previous “W” had a PowerMagic box that went bad and also took out the W. I was hoping that all the cables would be the same, but they weren’t so the install took much longer than expected.
The X is working, however I am not able to log into the camera with my phone most of the time (iPhone 17 Pro Max on iOS 26. I was successful once but it would not allow me to do anything. The app froze/hung and I had to force quit the app. I had to configure the card using my Mac but now the recording light on the camera comes on when it first starts up and after about 30 seconds then recording light goes out. The camera seems to continue recording. The camera also does not announce that it is working audible. It’s totally silent. In addition, the instructions on how to configure the settings are not anyway correct. The reference settings that do not exist in the software. I’m not very satisfied and would not recommend this brand again.

I hope you will take this as constructive criticism because that is how it is meant. The 590 seems to work OK but I can find no way to manually record an event. If I see something I want to record how do I tell it to do so? I tried to find a phone number for BNA and could not. I tried chatting but never received a response. If the issues of nonexistent customer service and the problem of no manual recording could be resolved I would give it 5 stars but until this happens I simply cannot. Thanks and I hope I get a response to this.
