Experience top-tier parking protection with Thinkware’s brand-new U3000 dash cam. Previously, radar functionality for parking mode required an external accessory (like the U1000’s Radar Module), but now it’s seamlessly integrated into the U3000 itself without compromising any of the high-end features you know and love. This built-in radar allows the dash cam to detect motion and impacts with ultra-low power usage while parked, extending surveillance time significantly.
Equipped with Sony’s advanced STARVIS 2 image sensor, the U3000 delivers crystal-clear footage day or night, combining 4K UHD resolution with Super Night Vision 4.0. With the Thinkware Connected app, you can stay connected to your vehicle remotely via built-in dual-band Wi-Fi, giving you access to features like Remote Live View, Vehicle Locator, and Impact Notifications.
Embrace a new standard in vehicle security and surveillance with Thinkware U3000-1CH (Single Lens).
4K UHD Video Quality With Sony STARVIS 2
Fueled by Sony's latest STARVIS 2 image sensor and an upgraded Ambarella processor, it easily outshines its predecessor, the U1000. And with a tweakable bitrate, you now have the power to tailor your recording quality, ensuring more control, and crisper, more detailed 4K footage than ever before.
New Parking Mode with Built-in Radar
Experience a smarter way to safeguard your vehicle with the U3000's new Radar Parking Mode. While previous
generations
required the radar unit to be bought separately, the U3000 comes with it built in! This unique
feature uses the built-in radar system to offer power-efficient monitoring with minimal power drain
(hardwiring or OBD-II cable required). You can now enjoy extended parking surveillance that includes
footage of events prior to any incident. The moment a motion or impact is detected, the U3000 ensures you
don't miss a thing, preserving a 20-second video snapshot - 10 seconds before, and 10 seconds after the
detected event.
3 Additional Alternative Parking Modes
You can also tailor the U3000’s Parking mode based on your surveillance needs by choosing from standard Motion Detection (using the image sensor, not radar, to detect motion), Time Lapse, Energy Saving Parking mode, as well as the new Radar-based parking mode mentioned above.
Motion Detection
When any motion or impact is detected any it instantly records a 20-second video clip – 10 seconds prior to and 10 seconds post the event – ensuring you have comprehensive coverage of the incident.
Time Lapse
Recording at a rate of 2 frames per second, this feature extends parking surveillance without any extra power drain.
Energy Saving Parking mode
This mode only recording a 20-second clip when an impact occurs, ensuring less power usage, letting your dash cam stay alert for longer durations with minimal energy consumption.
No Overheating in Parking Mode
The U3000's "smart" heat-sensitive technology is designed to combat overheating. If the temperature within the vehicle climbs too high during Parking Mode, it automatically switches to a low-power state, preventing any heat-related damage. In this state, the dash cam is on the lookout for impact-triggered incidents only, returning to Motion Detection or Timelapse Parking Mode once temperatures are back within safe limits.
Super Night Vision 4.0
Super Night Vision 4.0 takes advantage of Sony STARVIS 2’s advances in high sensitivity and low noise technology to help the U3000 capture clearer footage in low-light conditions. If you're looking for the best possible quality video footage from a dashcam, this could be it!
Easy Device Pairing
Seamlessly sync with your Android or iOS device using built-in Bluetooth and the Thinkware Link App. Easily revisit your recent driving videos and customize your dash cam's settings all through the convenience of the app.
Dual-Band Wifi
Enjoy the best connectivity in any environment with the dual-band Wi-Fi. Whether you're using an iOS or Android smartphone, choose between 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz bandwidths for quicker file transfers, ensuring smooth operation in any setting.
ADAS & Safety Camera Alert
The Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) enhances road safety with audible alerts for lane departures, vehicle movements, and potential collisions. Built-in GPS keeps track of speed, time, and routes, and alerts you of upcoming traffic cameras, ensuring a secure and well-informed drive. Alerts may be disabled.
Front Vehicle Departure Warning
Alerts driver if vehicle ahead starts to move after after coming to a complete stop
Rear Collision Warning
Rear Collision Warning notifies you of any tailgating vehicles within 5m to 10m for more than 5 sec.
Forward Collision Warning
Warns the driver of potential front collisions if approaching the car ahead too rapidly.

Let’s start from the beginning: Shopping in the store went smoothly, and the shipping process was flawless. DHL had questions regarding customs clearance, as the shipment included multiple boxes, but only one item was listed with a declared value. However, this was easily resolved via email. The delivery was as uneventful as expected.
The product arrived safely and undamaged. The camera is surprisingly small and handy. Setting it up was very straightforward, as was handling the battery. Things became a bit tricky during the fixed installation.
As a permanently installed component with its own fuse and a separate cable to the battery, the installation was more challenging than anticipated—though this was more due to the vehicle than the camera.
One small detail: The German manual doesn’t clearly explain the exact difference between the "Bat. " and "EXT" inputs.
Other than that, everything worked well, and the camera has been operating flawlessly so far.

One of the best dash cam available.
I purchased the U3000 with front and rear cameras for my 2020 Mercedes C300. I was able to mount the unit to the plastic rain sensor housing and no cables are visible. I had to run a permanent live from the trunk and was able to tap the accessory wire under the glove compartment and tapped to the back of the 12v accessory port wires. The dash cam works great and has not let me down connecting to the car Wi-Fi. Picture quality is amazing and get no glare with the cpl filter. Night view mode is a blessing and able to read license plates. Parking mode works flawlessly. Day time picture quality with the bright sunlight in November is amazing and able to read license plates. I am highly impressed with this camera and highly recommend if you are driving a Mercedes because of the almost factory look. The only thing I wish, if the rear cam had a 90 degree connection point then the visible wire would not be a issue and would be tucked away under the headliner. Please note! Do not mount the camera to the radio antenna on the rear window or the rear radar will not work. Also I have to point out that customer service is truly amazing and responded straight away via email almost immediately on both occasions when I asked questions. If you drive a Mercedes then this is the best option available. I have used a Blackvue but the camera is just not suited to the Mercedes due to its shape and connection points. I wanted a install with no visible wires and this is best option according to me. I really hope my review helps the community who is interested in the Thinkware U3000. Thank you and I hope my review will help those looking for this camera..:skin-tone-4:

The ONLY choice if you are buying a dashcam mainly for Parking mode.
Excellent dashcam, it is the only choice if you are buying a dashcam for parking mode. I upgraded from a top-of-the-line Blackvue dashcam from 5yrs ago that wasn't showing the correct time. I was told the $3 soldered battery needed to be replaced, but once I found out U3000 can do parking mode with a battery pack in radar mode for ~20days, I didn't even bother to fix the Blackvue. U3000 is not perfect, setup was a bit quirky, cloud features are very basic and limited (can't live view if it is in low energy parking mode, etc) . So if cloud/remote view is important to you, Blackvue might be a better choice. Surprisingly I didn't have any issues with radar in the rear cam that everyone else was having.

Love it
After owning a BlackVue 900S for many years, I decided to buy the THINKWARE 3000 after reading many reviews. I am so glad I did. The videos are a lot clearer and it sinks to my I Phone a lot easier than the he BlackVue did.
