Finally, Garmin has introduced its first LTE-focused dash cam, the aptly named Dash Cam Live!
This incredibly compact camera comes loaded with features that will not only give you
recorded protection against fraud claims but also instant live access to your vehicle, no
matter where it is.
With a sharp 1440p recording resolution and a 3" LCD screen, you'll be able to record
every important detail in front of your camera. And as long as the LTE connection is active, you'll have 24/7
access to your vehicle. Check-in on the live feed to see what's going on in front of your car, get alerts when
motion or impacts are detected, instantly view and share clips from the Garmin Drive App, and it'll even let you
know if the car starts to move without your phone inside. These features are great for people who leave their
car parked away from home for hours or even days at a time.
Of course, that's not all; the Garmin Dash Cam Live also has all of the normal Garmin
features, such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and driver alert warnings. Read on to learn more!
Live View
Access a live view of your dash cam from anywhere in the world with an active LTE subscription and the
Garmin Drive App. Some vehicles will require use of the Constant Power Cable.
View & Share Videos
Saved videos are kept safe in the online Vault and can be easily accessed with the Garmin Drive App. If
you have an LTE plan or can connect to Wi-Fi, you can share videos by sending them via link and a
passcode.
Location Tracking
Enjoy the convenience of checking on your vehicle’s location, including parking spot, anytime when using
the Garmin Drive app. This feature requires an active LTE subscription.
Theft Alerts
If you're car leaves without your phone inside, you’ll receive an alert through the Garmin Drive app.
This feature requires an active LTE subscription and Parking Hardwire Kit.
Parking Guard
You'll receive notifications in the Garmin Drive App anytime your dash cam detects an incident affecting
your parked car with a video clip of the incident. This feature requires an active LTE subscription and
Parking Hardwire Kit.
Incident Detection
When an event is detected, this camera automatically saves video from just before, during, and after the
event. This highlights a full recording of the event along with its GPS location, date, and time.
LTE Subscription
Activate an LTE Vault subscription plan in the Garmin Drive app to enable location tracking, theft
alerts, and parking guard notifications. LTE connectivity moves beyond the limitations of a Wi-Fi
connection, so you can access a live view from almost anywhere, anytime.
Crisp HD Video
1440p HD video, 140-degree wide lens and Garmin Clarity provides crystal clear footage of important
details, day and night. Use the 3" LCD display on the camera to align the camera and change the
settings.
Automatic Recording
Once plugged into your vehicle’s power source, the camera continually records, so you can set it and
forget it.
Voice Control
With voice control, you can keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road. Tell the camera to
save video, start and stop audio recording, take still pictures, and more! Available in English, German,
French, Spanish Italian and Swedish.
Forward Collision Warnings
Receive audible alerts when you're driving too closely to the vehicle ahead.
Lane Departure
If you're vehicle begins to sway off the road or into oncoming traffic, you'll receive a lane departure
departure warning.
"GO" Alerts
This feature notifies you when stopped traffic in front of you has started to move.
Red Light & Speed Cameras
The Dash Cam Live has you covered with alerts for nearby red light cameras and speed cameras (not
available in all regions).
Travelapse Feature
Easily share your next road trip or adventure with friends by using the Travelapse feature. This
condenses hours of driving into a few minute timelapse of highlights.
Dash Cam Video Sync
The Garmin Drive app can control and play back synchronized video from up to four dash cameras (sold
separately) mounted around your vehicle to capture video from multiple viewpoints.
Durable By Design
This dash cam is made to work in harsh conditions, like direct sunlight and hot temperatures inside the
car.
Memory Card Included
This dash cam is ready to use right out of the box with a preinstalled microSD memory card (no separate
purchase needed).
Your saved Live device videos are securely stored in the online Garmin Vault and can be
accessed using the Garmin app on your smartphone. You will need an active LTE plan for your Dash Cam Live to
stay connected all the time.
Video clips are automatically saved in the online Vault. There is no size limit for
data stored. Garmin offers two different LTE subscription plans to suit your needs. Each LTE dash cam requires a
paid subscription.
Why pay for LTE? While Wi-Fi is great for when your car is parked at safer locations
like your home or possibly at work. LTE keeps your vehicle connected to you no matter where it is. Location
tracking, theft alerts, and the parking guard feature, which sends notifications about incidents affecting your
parked vehicle are all available to you no matter how distant the separation is between you and your vehicle.
Your LTE subscription plan can be activated from inside the free Garmin Drive app.

Best LTE dash cam - quality product
After buying and using many other brands in the market for cars dash cams and being disappointed, I came across Garming dash cams and it really change my perspective on their build and quality of the product. Previously I had the Garmin dash cam w67 and it was one of my favorites, but since I love technology and I am a computer engineer; I needed to have this new model. I like all the features about this camera, the quality, the video resolution is perfect, it is fast and reliable. It has a seamless connection with the phone app and my favorite part of this is you can connect it to the internet and even see it via LTE remotely from the app. Once you connect it and know how to use it, you will not have any issues whatsoever with it.
