Energy Saving 2.0
Compared to Energy Saving, Energy Saving 2.0 takes energy-saving efficiency to the next level and increases up to 26 times the total duration of the dash cam's Parking Surveillance mode. The dash cam conserves energy by going on standby when entering Parking Surveillance mode and wakes up to record events triggered by impacts only.
Radar Module
When in Energy Saving Mode 2.0, the Radar Module allows the U1000 dash cam to extend its Parking Surveillance mode duration by reducing the power consumption. When a motion is detected by the Radar Module, the U1000 wakes up and gets ready to record. If an impact is detected, a 20-second video (10 seconds before and 10 seconds after the impact) is saved in a dedicated folder on the MicroSD card. When no impacts are detected, the U1000 does not save the footage and resumes Energy Saving Mode 2.0.

Strong Impact Notifications: In the event of a crash, the alert feature can help the driver to notify others of an emergency situation when the driver is not in the condition to do so. The family of the owner of the car can then remotely check on the situation from their location. When the car experiences an impact with a g-force level greater than 3g or 4g while driving, the dash cam will automatically send a push notification alert of the impact to the user’s smartphone logged in to the THINKWARE CLOUD app. A 20-second video of the incident (10 seconds before and after the incident) is also saved on the THINKWARE CLOUD server, and a push notification alert of the video is sent to the user, which can be checked later and downloaded from the app.
Parked Impact Notifications: Receive an alert when a strong impact is detected during Parking Surveillance mode, and check remotely the 20 second incident video file via the cloud using the app.
Remote Live View: Watch what is happening in real-time. Remotely monitor your vehicle on your mobile device from anywhere in the world.
Vehicle Location Tracking: Parents, family members, and fleet managers can feel safe knowing they can find their vehicle’s current location using the THINKWARE CLOUD mobile app. Captured by the U1000’s built-in GPS antenna, the vehicles’ location, speed, and direction of travel are shown in the mobile app on a Google Maps display.
Geo-Fencing: Geo-Fencing allows parents or fleet managers to be updated on vehicles’ comings and goings. The U1000 will send a push notification through the THINKWARE CLOUD mobile app if a vehicle enters or exits a pre-selected geographic zone. The radius of the zone can be set easily by simply tapping on the Google Maps display and selecting the desired radius. Users can set up to 20 different geo-fences.

Parking Surveillance
Multiple modes provide options for parking surveillance. Time-lapse records footage at 2FPS for recording longer periods of time without increasing power consumption. Motion detection records any motion around the vehicle. Impact detection does... you guessed it, record any impacts made with the vehicle.
